It's been many years since I first read the details of Dr.
Lorraine Day's case. Yet it's one to which I refer, often, when asked
questions like, 'How does one strengthen the immune system, when sick?'
Or, 'What does my friend or relative 'take' for cancer, or some other
degenerative illness?'
The answer?
Well, vibrant health, to my way of thinking, is about 'throwing stuff out,' and allowing Mother Nature to do her good work; NOT about 'adding stuff on' to an already compromised, toxic bloodstream.
Dr. Day's is a good, 'case in point.' A California physician, given just a few weeks to live, with a massive, malignant, fist-sized tumor on her chest; she was a smoker, a drinker, and toxic-food eater. Colleagues recommended traditional 'cut and chemotherapy' - 'or else.' She refused, and decided to go with a more holistic, natural approach; which consisted of: Fasting. Plenty of pure water and fresh fruit and vegetable juice. Natural exercise, like fast walking. Sunbathing? In abundance. Animal 'foods?' Out! Raw, living plant foods? In!
Her 'protocol,' in short: Everything toxic, artificial, man-made, out. Everything healthy, holistic, and natural, in.
What then, were the good doctor's results, after implementing her self-administered, natural therapy? She grew completely cancer-free within weeks - and is, to this day, many years later. She did not perish, as her colleagues had guessed. Far from it! 'It's a miracle,' they claimed!
Yet is it?
Or is vibrant health, and a throwing off of illness, simply a natural result, emanating from a trust in Mother Nature - rather than in Man's misguided pills, potions, and other 'advancements' in modern medicine? The latter, I'd say. As, historically, there is no shortage of cases like Dr. Day's, if one is willing to look for them. I speak of cases like that of Johanna Brandt. Professor A. Ehret. Australian Dr. Abramowski's and his long list of patients. Doctor Gerson, who I've written of, before. Rudolph Breuss, author of The Breuss Cancer Cure. Dr. Ruth Heidrich, author of, Senior Fitness. And there are so many more I could add!
And, after all, think on this: Sickness and disease are aberrations in nature - NOT 'the norm!'
All creatures, given their species-specific, natural diet, plenty of exercise, fresh air, and sunlight, thrive with abundant strength and health. It is only when adopting Man's processed, artificial, toxic ways, that creatures first begin to 'know' disease, inner toxicity, weakness, and old age.
Thus, given cases like Dr. Day's and so many others - and given Mother Nature's innate tendency toward health, not disease - I think this: If ill, trust in the natural wisdom that created you. Throw 'stuff' out; like potions, pills, and poisons ('oh my!'). Don't add more 'stuff' to already overloaded, poisoned body. Exercise. Bathe in the sun. Eat and drink the living, raw plants of the earth. Meditate and enjoy silence.
What then? Your 'prognosis?'
I'd say: 'Miracle' likely!
